The essentials at a glance
Voki is an app for kids and families. We keep our terms simple:
- Voki is for private, personal use by families.
- The app is available exclusively on the Apple App Store.
- We show no ads — not to children, not to parents.
- All generated stories are for personal use only.
- Subscriptions are managed through Apple In-App Purchase.
1. Scope
These Terms of Use apply to the app Voki – Create. Listen. Dream. ("Voki" or "the App"), developed and operated by CRE8NOW ("we", "us", or "the provider").
By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you use the App on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian and provide your consent.
2. Description of Service
Voki is an iOS app (iPhone and iPad) that creates personalized, AI-generated audiobooks for children. The App provides:
- Personalized bedtime stories based on user input (e.g. character traits, themes, language).
- Full narration of generated stories.
- AI-generated cover illustrations.
- Support for 9 languages.
- Local storage of stories on the device.
We reserve the right to modify, extend, or limit features at any time. No specific feature set is guaranteed.
3. License & Permitted Use
We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for private, non-commercial purposes.
Permitted
- Using the App for personal, family use.
- Saving and listening to generated stories on your own devices.
- Sharing stories within your own family.
Not permitted
- Commercial use or resale of any content.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying the App.
- Automated content retrieval (scraping, bots).
- Using the App to create content that violates applicable law.
- Circumventing security mechanisms or payment restrictions.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
Voki offers a free tier and optional subscriptions ("Premium"). All subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchase.
Pricing & Billing
- Current prices are displayed within the App and on the App Store listing.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Billing is charged to your Apple ID account.
Cancellation & Refunds
- You can cancel your subscription at any time via iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are granted solely in accordance with Apple's policies. We have no direct influence over Apple's refund decisions.
5. Privacy
Protecting your data and your children's data is a top priority for us. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details.
In short: we never store real names, photos, or any personally identifiable information about children. All attributes used are generic and non-identifiable.
6. Intellectual Property
All rights to the App, the Voki logo, design, code, and generated content remain with CRE8NOW or its licensors.
AI-generated stories and illustrations created through Voki are for personal, non-commercial use only. Commercial use or republication requires explicit written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including data loss.
Liability for injury to life, body, or health, and for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, remains unaffected by applicable law.
8. Children & Parental Supervision
Voki is designed for children aged 3 and up — under parental supervision and with guardian consent. Children under 16 may not independently register or purchase subscriptions.
As a parent or guardian, you are responsible for ensuring appropriate use and monitoring your child's screen time.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated within the App or by email (if provided). Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law, is the registered location of the provider.
For consumers within the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence apply in addition.
